10 Low-Cost Experiments

The full-immersion course for the 3rd edition of the School of Physics with Arduino and Smartphone featured the participation of 22 Physics Professors, mostly from schools in Lazio. However, there also were professors from farther afield, including Pozzuoli and Parma. The professors came from 14 different schools and developed 10 low-cost experiments during the 3-day course conceived and held by Giovanni Organtini, Professor of Experimental Physics at Sapienza University of Rome with the support of makers from the Fondazione Mondo Digitale.

Last July, Professor Organtini brought the School of Physics experience to the Summer Meeting organised by the American Association of Physics Teachers [see news: From Rome to Washington]. Next summer, the school will land in France. The international launch of the school preceded the national one!

In this interview with Cecilia Stajano, the Director of the course describes some of the experiments, addressed the results of the 3rd edition and took a look at future opportunities. Over the course of the coming days, we will take a closer look at the experiments developed by professors to share them with our entire community.
