Art, Science and Technology

Contemporary art is called to face science and technology. Indeed, the result is often a hybrid of the three, not just a contact, but a true dialogue, an ongoing collaboration. In order to find our way through this vivacious space we can turn to the literature, even in Italian. Think of the work (“Prospettive delle Arti nel XXI Secolo”, Meltemi) by Valentino Catricalà, Artistic Director of the BNL Media Art Festival, that describes the trends in the world that goes by the generic title “Media Art.”

Last Sunday’s edition of Daily Il Sole 24 Ore  dedicated an entire page – two articles – to digital art. The second article mentioned the work published by the Director of the Media Art Festival, Valentino Catricalà, entitled Media art. Prospettive delle arti verso il XXI secolo (in Italian).
