Caring Robots

Robots that are as curious as children, teddy bear robots, robots that help elders to remember things ...

Fiammetta Castagnini interviewed Gianluca Baldassarre, a researcher at the National Research Council (CNR) and coordinator of the  Computational Embodied Neurosciences Lab (LOCEN) at the Institute of Sciences and Technology for Cognition (ISTC), who describes some of the novelties that the CNR will showcase at RomeCup 2018, along with labs for schools.

In the showcase area, the CNR will present two European projects: Goal Robots and Mario (Horizon2020), a prototype for the study of autism developed by Istc-Cnr, "+Me", and an "Advance School for Artificial Intelligence" that will involve various local research institutes and companies.

In the coming days, we will focus on "+ Me," a robot that looks like a cute panda and explain how it works.

The 12th edition of RomeCup, the multi-event dedicated to Robotics and Life Sciences in the Innovation Eco-system, will be held at the Rome Università Campus Bio-Medico on April 16-17, 2018. On day three, April 18, the awards ceremony will be held as usual at the Rome Campidoglio.
