Creative Workshop

From the “Nail” domotics scale to a pulse-o-metre, from greenhouses to the “Ardui Carillon,” the Istituto di istruzione secondaria superiore "V. Lilla" in Francavilla Fontana, in the Province of Brindisi, will present its Co-m@king Lab prototypes at RomeCup 2017, (March 15-17).

The Coding and Making Laboratory is a creative didactic workshop coordinated by Professor Domenico Aprile, where “hands-on minds-on” didactics are integrated with the development of European, cutting-edge research/action (open innovation, IoT, open data etc.). The stand in the showcase area will be manned by 15 students (10 men and 5 women) who are used to working on open software and hardware platforms (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Makey Makey, Scratch).

Thanks to the “mobile lab” developed by Prof. Aprile, students become the main actors (prosumers) of the learning process through the creation of a personal and proactive approach to knowledge, creating a sort of knowledge factory.

In this interview with Fiammetta Castagnini, the digital coach at the workshop explains the efficacy of the model that attracts the interest of students and widens the context of education to life in general, to learn everywhere.
