From today until next Friday, the 2ndeducational workshop of Project Holomakers will be hosted by the Faculty of Physics at the Warsaw University of Technology (WUT).
The Fondazione Mondo Digitale will be represented by Daniele Vigo, maker and coach at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym, and Lino Strangis, an intermedia artist (video-art, interactive virtual reality, sound art and experimental music) [see news: Artistic Research].
During the workshop, participants will learn about the techniques that allow the production of holograms and how to develop holograms with open source software Octave. One day will be dedicated to the use and assembly of a hologram kit. Moreover, the consortium will present the courses that will be held-online, as well as Open Educational Resources(OER), both of which will be provided for free at the end of the project.
Holomakers, which is implemented as part of the European Erasmus+ Programme, involves high school students in the study of STEAM through new teaching methodologies for scientific subjects, such as holograms, virtual images and design.
