The Centro Enea, an experimental project developed by Roma Capitaletogether with the Italian Ministry of the Interior, was conceived to support all those individuals who are forced to flee from their countries and come to Italy in hope of a better future. Unfortunately, these people often face exploitment and marginalization. The Center, which was opened in October 2007, is located in Rome’s 18th District (the Casalotti Area, Via Boccea 530).

The Fondazione Mondo Digitale manages and organizes activities the Internet Cafè activities at the Centro Enea and provides basic digital literacy courses to its guests.

Starting on July 9, a new experiment has involved the Centro Enea backend service, which orients and guides the youth at the Center to find work through the Fondazione Mondo Digitale.

Thanks to this agreement, this backend service and the FMD will work together to provide an integrated theoretical-practical service. After a theoretical part on “how to look for a job” hosted by experts in the classroom, a practical PC course is held to teach attendees how to write a CV, publish it on the best sites and answer work announcement posts.

The objective is to help refugees become increasingly more active, proactive and independent in their search for a job, as well as fully exploiting the competences they acquire through FMD courses.

Currently, there are 10 young individuals involved in the project that will last until August 6th.
