All the start-ups and innovative SMEs in the Lazio Region that are part of the Lazio Innovator Community can participate. The application deadline is April 4.
The LAZIO INNOVATOR AWARD, a competition for entrepreneurial projects amongst SMEs in the Lazio Region, has been receiving applications since March 8. The Lazio Region has organised this project, with the support of Lazio Innova, to promote innovative regional enterprises and start-ups that present a high growth rate both in terms of quality and competence.
The Award is exclusively reserved to members of the www.lazioinnovatore.it community of innovators, a unique platform that brings together creative enterprises, start-ups and talent, incubators and accelerators, and co-working and investors. A community that has become a reference point to promote collaboration and business agreements on innovative ideas, innovative projects and new talents.
A jury nominated by Lazio Innova will evaluate the application forms and assign a score to each entry based on specific evaluation criteria. The list of 24 finalists will be published by May 11. The finalists will compete for the €70,000 award available for four categories:
- Best Start-up (€20,000) is dedicated to the enterprise or start-up that proposes the best innovative solution in one of the following sectors: Agricultural and Food technology, Augmented Reality, Automotive, Big Data/Data Analisys, Cloud computing, IT security, E-health, E-learning, Fintech, Green, Internet of Things, Legal Tech, Smart City, Smart Home, Virtual Reality.
- Best PMI (€20,000) is reserved to a Lazio region start-up (one to five years old) that proposes or has developed the best innovative solution in the same sectors as above.
- Best Social Innovation Project (€20,000) is reserved to a Lazio region SMEs that propose or have developed the best social innovation project, an enterprise project for a product, service, solution or model that will innovatively satisfy social needs;
- Best Startup incubated in a Regione Lazio “Spazio Attivo” (€10,000) is reserved to a Lazio region start-up (one to five years old) that has been incubated in a Regione Lazio “Spazio Attivo” and which proposes or has developed the best innovative solution in the sectors mentioned above.
Besides the monetary awards, 20 "Open Lazio" special mentions will allow winners to be invited to the initiatives organized by the Regione Lazio and Lazio Innova to promote enterprises and innovation with potential partners, investors and international markets.
Participating in the LAZIO INNOVATOR AWARD is easy.
You have until 6 pm on April 4, 2016. All members of the www.lazioinnovatore.it community can submit their application via GeCoWEB, the new digital system of the Regione Lazio, managed by Lazio Innova, which simplifies access to European and Regional funds for enterprises, citizens, public agencies and research centres.
