Research, Feminine Plural

On September 28 at 7 pm, there will be an all-female “scientific aperitif” organised by the Rome Campus Bio-Medico University, in collaboration with the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, for the European Researchers’ Night 2018. The event, entitled “Research, Feminine Plural,” will address the world, role and perspective of women in scientific research and present Project “Coding Girls” together with a number of testimonials of the experience.

“Research, Feminine Plural” will focus on female intuition in sectors such as Robotics, Chemistry, Biology and Medicine thanks to the participation of women researchers from the Rome Campus Bio-Medico University and other high-ranking Italian universities, as well as important women managers in top companies.

In the afternoon (4:30 pm), “UCBM Open Night: Becoming Researchers” will allow high school students to visit the university’s advanced research centre labs in Bio-medicine and Bio-engineering. Thanks to a collaboration with the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, the students will be able to view experiments organised at the Faculties of Engineering and Medicine and Surgery and interact with young researchers at the university. Moreover, the students will be able to gain information about the opportunities that UCBM and FMD will provide for students in the 2018-19 academic year. The Rome Campus Bio-Medico University is on Via Àlvaro del Portillo, 21 in Rome.
