This makesAction Research and Development (AR&D) an essential ingredient in the life of the Foundation. Indeed, AR&D has grown gradually over the short existence of the Foundation driven by the desire to improve the value given to people in the worlds of education and e-inclusion. This means a fourfold direction of research and development.

• Research to improve services of the Foundation based on knowledge codification of processes leading to the creation of handbooks, good-practice case studies and, more broadly

• Research to improve the Foundation’s services and products based on real-time evaluation of processes and services. See, for example, Robodidactics Evaluation Guideand Real-time Evaluation of Settimane Tematique

• Research on state-of-the-art knowledge in the areas of education and e-inclusion. See, for example, Quaderni di Pensieri and Academic Studies.

• R&D on state-of-the-art internet tools and platforms in order to support the development of the Foundation’s phyrtual innovation environment integrating a physical innovation environment (p-innovation environment) with a virtual innovation environment (e-innovation environment).

• R&D of knowledge objects for the content of the phyrtual innovation environment, integrating four levels of knowledge objects focused on educational as well as innovation processes
