ICT for Global Education & e-Inclusion
Advancing towards the dream of an inclusive knowledge society across the world means good quality education and the elimination of poverty with all its associated scourges, FOR ALL!
In a globalising world, this dream can only be achieved through the concerted effort of all nations, very much in the spirit of international solidarity promoted by the United Nations in the Millennium Development Goals.
The FMD has gradually evolved a programme of global education and e-inclusion. In fact, the FMD was born out of an international education and e-inclusion event, the Global Junior Challenge (GJC) in 2000. Since then, the Foundation has pursued a number of actions aimed at contributing to projects and organizations working in education and e-inclusion in poor areas of the world.
These include the GJC events of 2002, 2004 and 2007, the www.e-inclusionsite.org, the Small Fund Award and, more recently, the growth of the Small Fund and the start of e-inclusion projects in Cameroon and Saharawi.
