ICT for students with special needs
Students with special needs due to disability or diversity of ability and long-term illnesses are sectors of the population at very high risk of exclusion from the benefits of the knowledge society.
The range of special needs is large and often the numbers of kids involved do not represent attractive market niches for companies to invest in tailored solutions.
The Foundation has implemented projects aimed at both disabled and sick bedridden students and has also promoted the creation of favourable governance through the signature of agreements that seek to stimulate work in this area:
Disable Students
- Background on the disable in Italy
- Project Auxilia (completed)
- Project Punto Acca for the School (completed)
- Official Agreement to stimulate the diffusion of assistive technology
Sick bedridden students
- Background on sick bedridden children in Italy
- Project e-Care (starting)
- Official Agreement to help bedridden children to attend school
