ICTs for 21st Century Education

 

Education is the key to the inclusion of all in the knowledge society. Education however faces great challenges as it evolves from the traditional transmission of knowledge to the more collaborative, personalized and interactive didactics of what has become known as 21st century education. 

 

This 21C education focuses on knowledge, life skills, ICT skills and didactic values.

Its achievement implies ICT-based educational innovation at all levels of the schools system: classroom, school and system with innovative activities taking place not just inside single schools in one country but also inter-school nationally and internationally.

 

The FMD started work on ICT-based educational innovation in 2002 with the Coordination of the European Project LEIPS (Learning about e-Learning Innovation Processes in Schools)
