Google Era Philosophy

Adriana Smorto.jpg

Adriana Smorto, a chemistry professor, published the following comment on the blog of the digital literacy plan for the elderly:  “Wow!! … after a pleasant immersion in Google era philosophy, I ran into a group of digital natives at work to raise awareness on on-line opportunities … hurray!!! Something is finally changing … and wonderfully. In Viterbo, the architecture might make us think that we are still in the Middle Ages, but our minds … especially those of the young … are galloping ahead! Adriana Smorto … and yes, they asked me, I’m 58!!!”

Adriana Smorto has been interested in computers and the Internet and their use in school for many years. She speaks to us about the challenges that she often meets and the resistance that the academic world often opposes to the Internet, which is why she enjoys our initiative so much.

At the end of the ICT Conference held at the Festival of Digital Culture, the Director of Key4Biz, Raffaele Barberio, sat down with the Fondazione Mondo Digitale to make a few suggestions for the knowledge volunteers.  “One of the seven pillars of the European Digital Agenda is e-inclusion. Moreover, if we want to halt the decline of Europe, our only hope is the Digital Agenda.” “Including people creates value …” and this is an enterprise style that must continue to be developed.
