A Course as a Christmas Gift

Are you looking for a gift idea for a young girl or boy aged 10 to 14? How about a course at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym?

The “Raspberry Pi – Learning to Programme with Minecraft” Course that will be held on January 30, 2016 at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym is a perfect idea! The course will be held by Dutch maker and artist Andreas Kopp.

It’s a six-hour hands-on workshop: 3 hours in the morning, lunch break and three hours in the afternoon, all at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym. The workshop is dedicated to 10-14 year olds to experience life as a maker.

In the morning, from 9:30 am to 1 pm, the young makers will learn about the Raspberry Pi mini computer e the basics of programming in Pong, Minecraft and Scratch (block coding). Then, they will be introduced to another coding language: Sonic Pi.

In the afternoon, from 2:30 to 6 pm, the participants will begin developing their first Python programme to control LEDs and TRT buttons for Minecraft, which will allow them to immediately view their code and produce easy games.

Participation requisites? Motivation, as well as a pair of headphones!

The workshop will be held in English.

Cost: € 154,74

The first five to register for the workshop will receive a free Raspberry Pi
