Champions’ Take Two

Once again, there are two young Romans on the podium at RoboCup Junior 2015: Emanuele Alfano (17) and Lorenzo Di Donato (19) from Itis Galileo Galilei in Rome. They are world champions for the second time!

This extraordinary success is based on the passionate teamwork performed throughout the year with Professors Paolo Torda and Giampaolo Pucci, who are also in China, and Prof Beniamina Rauch, who is with them in spirit.

It’s also a great success for the school attended by the two young champions that is currently directed by Headmaster Carlo Cipollone. It’s the historic Galileo Galilei School, the first school with an industrial focus in Rome, which is now nearly 100 years old.

Team Spqr from IIS Galileo Galilei in Rome competed and won with two football robots - Mr. Spock and J. T. Kirk - in the Soccer Light Weight Category.

These two champions have portrayed the Italian excellence in robotic abroad, with the winning model of the RomeCup!
