Together with the 50&Più Association, we have scheduled a series of webinars to focus on the Internet, tools for socialisation and key issues such as safety and data security. The on-line courses for over-60s will start after the Easter holidays. Here is a preview of the calendar that will soon be published in the webinar section of the Association’s website.

April 19, 17-18.30 | Fake News and Fraud

Learn to distinguish true and false and orient yourself critically in the on-line information system.

The announcement of an exclusive prize or a request for further personal information to complete an operation … Have you already been the victim of on-line fraud? Can you recognise a fake message, even if it is very well done and looks real?

Distinguishing true from false, recognising fake news and fraud is never easy, but there are efficient strategies that we can put into action to defend ourselves and develop a healthy diffidence. Let’s discover them together, testing ourselves with concrete cases.

April 29, 17-18.30 | Personal Data and Privacy

Learn to safeguard your personal data and protect your reputation and personal relations.

Do you use the same password for every personal profile on the web? Your date of birth or the name of your pet are easy to remember, but they are not really efficient enough to protect your personal data. We have precious information on-line (bank, health, etc.) and we need adequate tools, starting with passwords that are difficult to guess.

During the course of the webinar on Personal Data and Privacy, we will learn how to increase our on-line security through concrete cases.

  May 3, 17-18.30 | Storytelling

Learn to present yourself, to listen and to use words carefully and with empathy, even remotely.

On-line, words are everything. We can’t help ourselves with gestures, facial expressions, looks, pauses or silences. Words create stories. Every time that we present our experience, that we interact with others, we are creating a story in which we are the protagonists.

How can we communicate more efficiently? Can we transmit empathy digitally? Learn to choose the right words and give more space to your creativity.

  May 12, 17.30-19 | Tools for Socialisation

Find out about the opportunities provided by social media and the risks you should avoid.

How many times have you wondered if you should register on social network? What does one really do in these digital fora? Social networks have revolutionised our way of living, communicating, and relating to others. They allow us to keep in touch with family and friends, to express what we fee and share passions and experiences, as well as keeping intergenerational relations remotely.

We will look at the various potential uses of social media and how to use them in a safe manner to increase our wellbeing and develop a health social network.

May 16, 17-18.30 | Apps that Improve Our Lives

Learn how smartphone apps work.

We often communicate with friends and parents via WhatsApp. We use apps to book services at the post office or to interact with the public administration with a public digital ID ... Apps improve our lives. They allow us to access useful services and save time. How do they work? Are you sure you have used them to their full potential?

This practical webinar will clear any doubts you may have and allow you to test apps with the help of an expert.
