Starting from the Ecosystem

The Phyrtual Factory self-enterprise programme begins today at 2 pm at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym. The didactic, experiential and project-based programme is based on a vast range of activities and tools to prepare the young men and women to face the challenges, problems and opportunities provided by life in the 21st century. Today’s lesson will be based on the Ecosystem Concept, personnel, project and services [see agenda].

Seven teams have already formed around a project idea that has been used to provide each with a temporary workgroup name:

  • N4M3 – a personal assistant that enhances users organisational and manual abilities.
  • INFINITY HEDGE – interactive edutainment installation for pre-school children.
  • CROWDACTING – crowdfunding through posts, clicks, visualisations and campaigns to improve the world.
  • LIVING YOUR DREAM – 360-degree tourism services at your fingertips: housing, tours, health care, etc.
  • URBY – a new videogame that uses 3D maps, VR and AR to connect children with their cities.
  • ACS – car sharing for individuals with disabilities that include sensors for the automatic regulation of car parts, such as the seat.
  • SUN FLOWER- intelligent photovoltaic panels for environmental sustainability.

The first 5 teams are composed by individuals who answered the Call4Interest e Call4Mentor calls [see news: Phyrtual Factory Kicks Off].

The other two teams - ACS and Sun Flower – include students (Class 4H - IIS Dante Alighieri in Anagni and 5A - IIS Enzo Ferrari in Rome) who were selected during the IoT Acceleration Hackathon promoted by Ericsson on March 21 [see news: Arduino Challenge].

Today’s session will be held by Alfonso Molina, Scientific Director of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale and Personal Chair in Technology Strategy, and Cecilia Stajano [@CStajano], Lego® Serious Play® Trained LSP facilitator and School Innovation Coordinator.
