The Future Takes Shape

Even this week, young men and women in Call4Youth have selected the One4One track at the Officina – New Jobs Workshop that allows them to intensively explore four labs - Fab Lab, Game Lab, Immersive Lab and Video Lab – for a total of 22 hours (4 hours motivational course, 4 hours in each lab and 2 final re-evaluation hours).

Only 36% of participants come from the Regione Lazio, while others come from throughout Italy. Their average age is 24 and 20% already has a university degree.

This week, activities at the Officina will be managed by designer Mauro Del Santo (Fab Lab); experts from the Italian Videogame Association (Game Lab); immersive experience designer Domenico Zungri (Immersive Lab), and professionals from Animatika (Video Lab). [see: L'Officina dei nuovi lavori: chi sono i coach (in Italian)].

The Officina – New Jobs Workshop is a project conceived by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale and Google to promote digital skills and implement professional training and orientation activities for 10,000 young men and women currently looking for a job. The initiative has been organised with the patronage of the Italian Ministry of Labour and Social Policy and the collaboration of the Ministry of Education, University and Research, the Regione Lazio and Roma Capitale.
