An App to Save the World

They formed their team the morning of the coding hackathon and immediately set down to work and understand how to cooperate to achieve the best results. Their project was awarded second place at the Roman hackathon organized by the Coding Girls Educational Programme.

 

Four girls aged 16 to 17, students from two scientific lyceums: the Roma Majorana School and the Volterra in Ciampino. Their initials provide the name for the Team: ALIO. They are Alessia Feola, 16; Letizia Pennè, 16; Ilaria Casalbore, 16; and Oana Dediu, 17.

 

In this interview with Rosy D'Elia, the students illustrate Project "Hero of the world". The fundamental message of the app is that “Everyone can be a hero and safeguard the environment from pollution through recycling. "

 

 

Last Wednesday’s Hackathon (Nov. 23) at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym ended the tour with American Coach Emily Thomforde. The Roman stop was the last stop of the Coding Girls educational relay, promoted by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale and the American Embassy in Italy in collaboration with Microsoft.
