Teaching to Learn

“I chose to become a #shemeansbusiness trainer because I usually work with large companies and I’m interested in finally being able to help freelance workers and entrepreneurs full of ideas and enthusiasm, including me! As trainers, we have this bad habit: to really learn something, we have to teach it.”

Coach Giuliana Ubertini will introduce over 200 women in Turin to the opportunities provided by social media to enterprises. She Means Business will hold two appointments in Turin next week at the ToolBox Coworking: on Monday 26 and Tuesday 27.

"I have always defined myself as a digitally lazy person,” Giuliana confesses. So, how did she become a social expert? Giuliana will explain it herself to all participants, starting with her personal storytelling.

The Monday training session (10 am – 1 pm) is organised in collaboration with Rete al Femminile. #SheMeansBusiness will be hosted by the #CyberLive event open to all interested women entrepreneurs for a morning dedicated to women and digital issues. The first hour will address IT security and then following two hours will be dedicated to the session for #SheMeansBusiness, the Facebook Programme promoting women in enterprise, implemented in Italy in collaboration with the Fondazione Mondo Digitale.

 WOMEN IN TRAINING
DATA

Over 50% of the women from Turin participating in the training sessions have already started an entrepreneurial activity, mostly in communications, education, services and technology. The youngest woman is a twenty-year-old student, but there also are women with far more experience who are interested in new challenges. Nearly 17% is fifty years or older and one pensioner, aged over 70, who manages an enterprise in the education sector. Just over 10% of the participants are looking for a job.
