Universal Chemistry

Once again, we would like to share, with our community, this initiative by the Rome Campus Bio-Medico University (Via Álvaro del Portillo N. 21 for the European Night of Researchers.

On Friday, September 27, from 4:30 to 7:50 pm, the UCBM Laboratory of Chemical Engineering for Sustainable Development will open its doors to 150 students in the last two years of high school for fifteen-minute tours to fifteen students at a time.

Universal Chemistry, as the event is called, will allow young men and women to participate in an experiential event that will allow them to view experiments taking place in the lab and interact with young university researchers, both during the visit and while they await their turn.

Chemical Engineers for sustainable development tackle the great issues we are facing through research and development, the design and construction of plants, the management of productive systems, and management and marketing, in general. They are capable of optimizing productive cycles through the reuse of raw materials, minimizing the environmental impact. The work to provide water, food and energy to the exponentially growing global population through economically, socially and environmentally sustainable solutions.

The Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering for Sustainable Development aims to train transversal professionals with an elevated capacity for innovation and design, who can operate successfully in the design and construction, operative management and control of environmental safety and safeguard, as well as in the management and marketing of industrial systems, plants and services.
