Stories of Women Over 50

At the She Means Business session in Naples with Coach Francesca Ferrara [see news: Pocket-sized Communication], the Fondazione Mondo Digitale social media editor Ilaria Bonanni [@Ilaria_FMD], interviewed some of the women. Here are three stories of young “entrepreneurs” under 50 who have invented a new professional life for themselves.

Olga, 50, has started a company called "Le comari" which sells leather bags developed to her designs by Neapolitan craftsmen. The name of the brand is a nod to the friendship amongst women. The logo is a good-luck charm owl.

Patrizia, 54, transformed her passion into a hobby and then a brand: Vitrizia. It’s all about original woven caps. She is participating in “She Means Business” to learn more about digital competences for social networks and how to communicate about her brand more efficiently.

Giuliana, 59, started as a university professor, then became an international visitor, until in 2014, she founded GCCK - Connecting Knowledge, which provides innovative consultancy for professional, enterprise, private and public administration services.
