A City with Antibodies

A City with Antibodies

A City with Antibodies

We invite everyone to participate in the final event of Project RoLab - Rome Live Art Lab promoted by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale in collaboration with the United States Embassy in Italy to improve the city of Rome by sharing projects and ideas addressing urban regeneration and reuse of abandoned areas. The appointments is on-line: Thursday, July 9 from 11-12 on the GoToWebinar Platform.

Project RoLab involves high school students in Rome in collaborative work with artists, international academies and associations to promote the regeneration and reuse of abandoned areas in city of Rome. Following the Covid-19 emergency, the ten finalist teams have a new challenge: integrate their urban regeneration projects with “social antibodies” to fight isolation. This will be the first real-time co-design of abandoned urban areas in the city under lockdown.

The final event will be directed by Marco Dell’Agli, Project Director at Mario Cucinella Architects, with the support of young architect Sara Ferraro, a member of INUGiovani. Together, they will introduce us to new points of view both inside and outside of the city and to the projects developed by students through a 360-degree virtual gallery.

The digital museum also hosts photographs by an artistic duo - Linda Pagani (USA) and Federica Pamio (Italy) – on the transformation of common areas during the health emergency.

At the end of the tour, the United States Embassy will present an award to the winning project. The event will end with a group video, a cultural and service storytelling experience to share, inspire and fill common spaces with culture, art and creativity.
