On August 7-9, for its 30th anniversary, the Fondazione CON IL SUD [1] will accompany a group of journalists and representatives of national foundations to Castelbuono (Palermo) for a true journey [2] to discover the grassroots development model promoted by the foundation that actively involves the local community.

In 2016, with the help of the Fondazione Con il Sud [1], the Fondazione Mondo Digitale introduced the “Grandparents on the Internet” model to  Castelbuono to address active ageing and the digital literacy of over-60s with the help of students [see news: 7 Hubs for Citizens [3]].

Alberto Manieri will represent the Fondazione Mondo Digitale at the event entitled F Sharp South: Con il Sud che fa# [2].
