The Istituto Professionale Einaudi strives to keep in touch with the territory and the rapid changes that take place by involving students in learning processes through four simulated training enterprises belonging to a national and international network. Comenius - Industrial Archeology [4]

The Istituto Comprensivo Leonori, amongst other initiatives promoting school-neighbourhood integration, has produced a tourist guide to Rome’s industrial archaeology sites. Industrial archaeology was chosen as a bridge to Europe, as a common factor of European communication. (Areas: history and IT - Research conducted during the 2006/2007.)

Young Journalists: Discovering the Neighbourhood [6]

The Circolo didattico Vittorio Alfieri promotes relations between the school and the surrounding neighbourhood through the “Young Journalists: Discovering the Neighbourhood” Project. The Project uses technology to acquire and circulate knowledge and proposes municipal re-qualification strategies. In particular, the project has addressed the Borghetto, the ancient residence of the Fornaciari and the Pineto, the regional park, that have been recognised by UNESCO as world heritage sites. (Areas: civic education, geography, history - Research conducted during the 2005/2006.)

Eco-Schools [8]

The 45° Circolo Didattico involves students of all ages in the Eco-Schools project to choose how to modify the space in front of their schools, consider the feasibility of their ideas and the environmental effects of their behaviour. Participation in projects such as “We are Cats” and “Adopt a Monument” makes the students aware of their neighbourhood. (Areas: Italian, maths, science, art, images and ceramic laboratories - Research conducted during the 2006/2007.)
