Call for Jurors

The Global Junior Challenge is an international competition that rewards the innovative use of technology for 21st century education and social inclusion. Promoted by Roma Capitale, the competition is organized by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale under the high patronage of the Italian Presidency. It serves as a unique opportunity to reflect on the challenges posed by the 21st century in terms of innovation in didactics, integration, sustainable development and the reduction of world poverty. An international jury selects the finalist projects and the winners.

The Fondazione Mondo Digitale has always worked with schools and youth, knowing that the true catalysts of change and innovation are illuminated schoolteachers, principals and headmasters who believe in the future. This is why the Global Junior Challenge Jury will be composed by Italian and international schoolteachers and headmasters. The jury will evaluate about 30 projects in the week of September 14-21, 2015.

In particular, each jury member will receive an Excel file with the list of projects that need to be evaluated (identified by an ID number). The link is http://www.gjc.it/2015/it/cerca-progetti. Projects will be evaluated on a range of criteria and will receive a score of 1 to 10 for each parameter. The total score will determine the overall final score for the project.

There will be eight project categories and the jury members will be assigned to the various categories on the basis of their skills and curriculum.

The full regulations for the GJC and the criteria for the jury’s decisions are available on line at www.gjc.it/2015/it/regolamento.

All jury members will be present at the Awards Ceremony that will be held on October 30, 2015 in the prestigious Aula Giulio Cesare at the Rome Campidoglio.

Would you like to be part of the Global Junior Challenge Jury? Please let us know by July 31, 2015 so that we can provide visibility for everyone.

What type of jurors do we need?

Innovative schoolteachers, principals and headmasters, especially those whose schools are presenting one or more projects at the GJC.
