Interactive Connections

The activities scheduled by Project Interconnections, promoted by the Regione Umbria and the Umbrian Public Administration School, in collaboration with the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, were presented yesterday in the Sala d’Onore of the Palazzo Donini in Perugia. From November 27 to December 1, the project will tour cities in the region to promote the social and digital inclusion of over-65s with the involvement of the main regional stakeholders.

The “Digital for the 3rd@age - Engagement of Young Elders” Programme of the “Digital Agenda in Umbria” will allow over-65s to benefit from the opportunities provided by the Internet and learn more about digital tools and e-government services, becoming active and conscious citizens who contribute to the economic development and digitalisation of their communities.

“Interconnections” will tour the five cities of the Umbrian Digital Agenda. On November 27, a “Health Hackathon” will be held in Perugia to develop devices that can improve the life quality of elders. On November 28, the project will be in Terni with a Popup Maker dedicated to domotic solutions for the same objective. On November 29, in Spoleto, the project will host a Lego Serious Play session on free time; while on November 30 a “Hackreativity” will be held in Foligno. On December 1, students will host digital desks in Città di Castello to help citizens with digital services and on-line applications. A final conference will be held on December 11 at the Sala dei Notari of the Palazzo Priori in Perugia to present the results of the initiative.

All activities will be held by intergenerational teams, including elders, students, professors, programmers, designers and craftsmen, working together to identify the needs of Umbria and propose innovative digital solutions for the elderly.
