The new course will begin tomorrow and last two weeks for two hours a week. The lessons are structured as a practical laboratory and the students will be asked to pursue their exercises independently, too, to consolidate the skills taught by their teacher.
As the course is held in Italian, only those candidates who have a proven capability to follow the explanations without translation have been admitted. For the most part, the guests of the Centro Enea have already attended Italian courses organised at the multi-purpose centre for the welcome and reception of refugees, political asylum seekers and beneficiaries of subsidiary protection.
The course is also a good opportunity to test the custom-tailored didactic material that the Fondazione Mondo Digitale is preparing to face the needs of this particular type of users.
As a result of specific field research, the Fondazione Mondo Digitale has also published a training kit dedicated to another segment of the fragile population, the elderly, who are at risk of social exclusion due to their inadequate linguistic-functional and digital skills
