The meeting aims to illustrate the relation between natural phenomena on Earth (earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and seaquakes) and the life of mankind through a series of interactive laboratories for schools.
Natural “malign” events cannot be stopped or avoided, but they can studied to understand their characteristics. The only way to defend ourselves is to be prepared. Prevention and understanding are two key factors.
The seminar, which will feature the participation of experts from the National Institute for Geophysics and Volcanology and the Fondazione ENI Enrico Mattei, is part of a wider programme on development and environmental education promoted by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale and the Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei.
