Grundtvig, a decade of European innovation in adult learning

Only a few days more to the conference organized by the Adult Education Unit of the European Commission, DG Instruction and Culture, to celebrate the beginning of the European Year for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion and the celebrations for the 10th anniversary of the Grundtvig Programme.
Silvia Celani will participate in the event (Brussels, January 16-28) for the Fondazione Mondo Digitale and illustrate the results of Project Silver, Stimulating ICT Learning for Active EU Elders in the context of the Community Action Programme for Lifelong Learning. The Fondazione Mondo Digitale used this project to export its highly successful Grandparents on the Internet to Europe. In 2009, in fact, three new digital literacy for adults courses were kicked off in Italy, Romania and Belgium and will soon be followed by another in Spain.
Over 250 individuals including adult education experts, institutional representatives and local, regional, national and EU decision makers, as well as representatives of the most successful Grundtvig projects, will attend the conference.
It will be an interesting opportunity to exchange good practices, follow interesting presentations and reflect on the future of adult education in Europe.
