Call for Teachers

In the coming days, teachers will receive a special letter, a sort of “Call for Innovation” to develop new efficient mixed didactic methods. We would like to share the text of this "Call for Teachers" with you to get the information rolling between school administrators and teachers.

ANNOUNCEMENT FOR INNOVATING TEACHERS 2020-21

Dear Teachers,

Schools are about to open again and many of you are already at work on identifying the best solutions to allow education to continue soundly and safely in this unprecedented historical period for education.

After having proven its great resilience, guaranteeing didactic continuity and experimenting with new devices to adapt to the health emergency, schools now need to consolidate their role and provide an adequate pedagogic solution to the current circumstances.

This is why the Fondazione Mondo Digitale has decided to publish a call to involve you in an important project on innovative didactic activities thanks to your role as agents of pedagogic and social change. We aim to develop didactic activities that exploit digital solutions to transform classroom learning into an exciting and transformative experience that will address the knowledge, competences and values that are central to our educational model.

We are looking for teachers and educators who wish to join us in this challenge. Our preference goes to candidates who already detain knowledge and/or experience on the identifying and using digital tools and resources such as apps, interactive games, simulations, intelligent tutorial systems, educational software, audiovisual products, etc., and custom-tailoring them to the teaching of core subjects in first- and second-degree secondary school (mathematics, geography, Italian, foreign languages, biology, etc.).

The work, which will be carried out either individually or in small groups with the support of FMD coaches and researchers, will consist in the proposal of a selection of the best digital tools and/or the best multimedia resources and the development of a method for integrating them into didactic modules for individual subjects. All the selected resources must be freely accessible to schools and available in Italian (or possibly English). The developed modules must present a true added value for mixed didactics (on-line/in presence) of subjects.

Following the initial collaboration phase, there may be an opportunity for participants to become coaches and train other teachers in the use of tools and methods for mixed didactics, a strategic specialization that will be “certified” with an “innovating teacher” badge.

Please complete the following on-line form to submit your candidature.

Welcome back!
