This project, created by KPMGand the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, aims to provide a series of lessons and professional laboratories to provide professional training to the guests of the Centro Enea, a second-level reception structure created by the Municipality of Rome and the Italian Ministry of the Interior. The facility houses refugees and asylum seekers from many countries and in particular from Somalia and Afghanistan.
The first lesson, which will be held on December 2nd at the Centro Enea (via Boccea 530, 5:30 pm), will centre on the issue of legality. Specialists from the KPMG Network, one of the most important professional service providers for national and international enterprises, will provide their know how on this issue. The initiative is part of KPMG’s community support activities.
“This year, KPMG celebrates its 50th year in Italy. Providing our know how for the most disadvantage individuals seems to be the most natural way to express our values and our identità,” said Antonella D’Andrea, one of the KPMG specialists participating in the project.
The project, which was designed to promote the social inclusion of the more fragile sectors of society using new technologies, will allow the guests of the Centro Enea to use multimedia programmes and business object applications to pursue autonomous courses of study and continuous learning.
Four thematic areas will be addressed by the course: legality, housing, civic education and financial tools. The courses will be held by legal and tributary counselling specialists who will examine together with the guests of the Centro Enea, the rules and documents necessary to live in Italy from the permits to the passport, from residence to citizenship.
The objective of the meetings is to provide refugees not only with the tools necessary to reside legally in Italy, but also with a set of high profile professional skills that will allow them to improve their instruction.
