Change and Resilience

The stories of the Global Junior Challenge never stop. Today, we travel to Puglia, where Anna Maria Bruno, a teacher at the Istituto comprensivo Musti-Dimiccoli in Barletta, has involved fourth grade students in a project on “The Coronavirus Pandemic. Resilience for Change.”

As the teacher explains, “the students produced journalistic reports and interviews, travelling around the world thanks to Google Earth”. In fact, the students used digital tools to travel virtually during the pandemic, and also learn about how the pandemic spread. The objective was to include all subject areas transversally with a focus on current issues such as health education, sustainable development and active citizenship, explains the teacher.

The project has involved parents and local structures such as pharmacies and hospitals. The young students interviewed health workers and also filmed and edited all the videos.

We wish to thank the teacher and all students for this great project and for having chosen the Global Junior Challenge  to share their project.

We would also like to remind you that deadline for project submission and candidatures to the International Global Junior Challenge  dedicated to Tullio De Mauro has been extended to July 31.

We’re waiting for you!

The 2021 edition is dedicated to the innovative and inclusive use of new technology for quality education during the Covid-19 emergency. Objective 4 of the Agenda 2030 will be addressed in terms of the pandemic experienced by schools worldwide. Schools, students, organisations, start-ups, associations, universities and citizens from around the world can join the call by submitting or presenting a successful project developed during the health emergency that brought together innovation and quality education with inclusion, actively involving families and other local actors [see Regulations].
