Residents of Reggio Calabria and its province can submit their candidature to become "Digital Ambassadors" for Project Smart for Europe and participate in the digital transformation of their community, helping others to use technology for communicating, sharing and accessing new digital services. The ambassadors will follow a five-module course addressing digital rights and principles, safe surfing, privacy, fake news, communications and sociality.
Candidatures must be submitted by November 18 through the on-line form.
Project Smart for Europe is one of the new actions of the Europe Direct Centre in Reggio Calabria, which has been reconfirmed as a hub of the Europe Direct Network by the European Commission. The project will organise free lab activities to raise the awareness of citizens on the issues of digital citizenship and informed participation in on-line activities [see news: Smart for Europe].
These activities will be held with 50 "ambassadors" who will act as digital facilitators for the local communities.
