In order to discover new young talents in robotics and Life Sciences, the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, in collaboration with the Rome Campus Bio-Medico University and Lazio Innova, has launched a new double challenge for high school students.

The first appointment is the Creative Jam on March 19 at the Regione Lazio’s Spazio Attivo Roma Casilina to prepare for the challenge, while the hackathon to design the solution will be held at RomeCup 2019. The students will organise into teams and work on a range of issues: robot reliability, humanoids, service robots, artificial intelligence and technology to enhance mankind. At the end of the common work session, the best idea will be selected to be further developed at the RomeCup 2019 Coding Marathon.

The Creative Jam, a creative design thinking session, will last all day (from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm). During the first part of the day, students will receive tools to start the creative process: an introduction to robotics and a session on the Lego Serious Play Methodology. The objective of the Creative Jam is to identify an issue and the challenge of the hackathon held at RomeCup 2019 (April 2-4, 2019 – Department of Engineering, Roma Tre University - Via Vito Volterra 62, “Campus” Lecture Hall).

Each team will need at least a PC and the software necessary for presentations, spreadsheets and presentations, as well as their own lunch. The teams must be composed, and the list of members must be communicated, before the day of the jam.

To register, please complete the on-line form by March 10, 2019.
