After the success of the pilot edition, a new edition of the Digital Art Festival will feature the contribution of the BNL Group BNP Paribas together with the Fondazione Mondo Digitale to contribute to the future of Italy and its youth.

Today, the Maker Faire will host the launch of the "BNL Media Art Festival" that will be held at the Rome MAXXI on April 13-17, 2016. The event will be presented at noon in Section G at the BNL Stand on the Sapienza campus.

The new edition of the "BNL Media Art Festival" will be presented by Mirta Michilli, Director General, Fondazione Mondo Digitale, and Luigi Maccallini, Comunicazione Retail Manager, BNL Group BNP Paribas.

Two live performances will be held at the Maker Faire: a sound art preview by Simone Pappalardo and Gianni Trovalusci with old radios and computers becoming avant-garde objects and the interactive installation by Alessio Chierico based on a computer-brain interface.

The April event will include a range of different original content, ranging from the “Media Art: the New Italian Challenge” Conference with major festival personalities and museums (including Ars Electronica from Austria, Zkm-Center for Arts and Media from Germany, Media Art Biennale from Poland) to works of art created by students and a family areas with media art tracks for all ages.

"The aim of this Festival," explains Mirta Michilli, Director General of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, "is to host a great event and permanent creative space for youth that will value new forms of artistic expression and its contaminations with technological innovation, the motor of all development. This is why we are excited to have a partner of excellence such as BNL that has been active in the arts, culture and innovation for a long time.”
