Digital Journalism

Today, the Italian Red Cross CAS Centre in Pietralata (Via di Pietralata, 190) will host the first workshop on digital journalism, completely conceived and conducted by four young students attending courses implemented by Project WELCOME.

After having learned the basics of coding, storytelling, digital manufacturing and journalism, the aspiring mentors are called to act as teachers, organising and holding workshops on the subjects that they have studied.

Today’s workshop will involve about 15 individuals (CAS hosts, educators, operators, volunteers, etc.). The main objective is to develop a small “community event” to promote exchange, debate and reciprocal knowledge.

After a theoretical introduction to the principles and tools of digital journalism, participants will learn to organise and conduct interviews. They young mentors will be guided and helped by Rosy D'Elia
