With the prolonged health emergency, it is increasingly important that citizens know how to use digital solutions and on-line health services. It’s fundamental to lighten the load of requests flooding the offices of family doctors and hospitals, accelerate the digitalization process of the Regione Lazio and help citizens, especially those aged over 65, to avoid becoming isolated by teaching them how to use the health services available through digital channels.

Project Insieme si riparte – Starting Again Together – allows young men and women to work with associations, universities and local medical organisations to ensure the wellbeing and health of over-65s during the health emergency. The pilot version of the project will be run by the ASL Roma 3, creating a community pact and winning synergy between local medicine and knowledge volunteers. We want to share this new paradigm of circular health with all our citizens, young and old, to keep us interconnected, jointly responsible for one another and capable of taking care of the most fragile.

The project is an extraordinary call for everyone, young and old, who has participated in the various declinations of Project Grandparents on the Internet. They can now share there competences with the community to help everyone overcome the hardships posed by the pandemic.

The FMD provides the “Grandparents on the Internet” educational channel, in which students teach elders how to use new technology, custom-tailored to the physical distancing that is necessary to contain Covid-19.

High school students, university students and association volunteers teach family doctors and over-65 how to use the main on-line health services provided by the Region through smartphone apps, such as Immuni and Lazio drCovid, to promote active and inclusive citizenship.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

We invite all knowledge volunteers to commit to a new solidarity challenge to help the most fragile citizens at risk of exclusion. Provide your digital skills to:

  • Receive specific training;
  • Collect the names of patients interested in participating in the family doctor project organised by ASL Roma 3;
  • Help over-65s familiarise with the dedicated project website (www.insiemesiriparte.org) and discover the available multimedia material;
  • Help over-65s familiarise with telephone helpdesks and on-line training sessions on the use of mobile technology, digital health services and use smartphone apps, such as Immuni and Lazio drCovid;
  • Help family doctors that have less knowledge about digital health services with custom-tailored educational sessions.
