Integration Policy

Today and tomorrow – June 18-19 – Rome will host the National Conference entitled “A Strategy for the Future: multi-level government policy for migrant integration.”

 

The event, which concerns the management of the European Fund for the Integration of Third Country Nationals, will take place at the CNR Offices in Piazzale Aldo Moro n. 7 (Aula Convegni, Aula Marconi, Aula Bisogno and Nuova Sala Conferenze). Participants include Undersecretary of State Domenico Manzione and the Head of the Department for Civil Liberties and Immigration, Mario Morcone.

 

The conference has been organized by the Department for Civil Liberties and Immigration, as the body responsible for the 2007-2013 period, in collaboration with CNR and CENSIS (see programme).

 

Five workshops have been planned for the event:

 

  1. Regional plans for civic-linguistic education: what next?
  2. Capacity building to develop integrated action strategies
  3. Active participation of foreign citizens: a value to promote
  4. School: a dynamic context for new citizenship
  5. Social and labour insertion: from welcome to autonomy       

 

Ilaria Graziano (Planning and Development Area) will follow the works on behalf of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale.

 

Other Appointments

 

Tomorrow – Friday, June 19 – the “I Am There” Football Match for Solidarity will be held for World Refugee Day.

 

On Tuesday, June 23, Pescara will host the final event of Project SEI – School of Education and Italian.

 

On Thursday, June 25, Aquila will host the final event of Project Più – Offices for Integration
