The Maker Faire Rome 2019 (October 18-20, Fiera di Roma) will host I-RIM 3D, the event inaugurating the new Institute of Robotics and Intelligent Machines, a non-profit association.

 

"The aim of I-RIM is to promote the development and use of robotics and intelligent machines to improve quality of life, the wellbeing of citizens and the general conditions of society through the development of new solutions to help people, improve work conditions, applicative transfers, the economic potential of research and the improvement and sustainability of productive systems.”

 

I-RIM will promote various events during the three-day event [see programme]. In particular,  Mirta Michilli, Director General of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, will participate in the second session of the debate on "From Research to Market: Routes, Opportunities and Obstacles" (Friday, 3-6 pm, Pavilion 10, Room 10 F) addressing “What Education is Necessary to Face the Digital Challenge?

 

The objective of the meeting organised by Lorenzo Marconi and Paolo Fiorini is to “reflect on how to learn and teach digital enterprise to develop university and lifelong courses on robotics and intelligent machines as well as a Job Market Place for the digital industry.”
