Victoria Greco Becker (12) and Dante Hin-Gasco (11) from the New York La scuola d’Italia Guglielmo Marconi received the awards. They had to write an article in Italian on the following subject: Winning on the field and in society through team unity and active life style choices that help one to grow healthily bodily and mentally. Expose a experience and your thoughts on it.”

The jury, which included Luca Piergiovanni, selected the two winners and presented them with the award at the Italian Embassy in Washington at the presence of Ambassador Giulio Terzi who provided patronage for the event celebrating the 150th anniversary of Italian Unification together with Network of Italian Consulates in the United States.

The two winners have followed the American swimming and athletics teams participating in the Youth Games – Macerata Olympics and have narrated this wonderful experience like real reporters.
The delegation arrived in Italy on June 22 for the official competitions and will be in Rome on June 29 for a cultural visit as guests of Coni.
After the winning articles were published on America Oggi, we may also be reading the stories of their new adventure!
