Last week, Rivodutri (Province of Rieti) held a public event to present Mariagrazia Pontorno’s Le radici auree (Golden Roots) that will be installed near the San Francesco Beech Tree [see news: In the Shade of the Beech Tree].

Here are the interviews held by Ilaria Bonanni during the course of the day, together with a small photo gallery.

"I imagined that the roots of this beech tree could accompany pilgrims along the route," explains artist Mariagrazia Pontorno. The work will be inaugurated in September.

Michele Paniconi, Rivodutri’s new mayor, explains where the work will be installed so that it becomes a part of the spiritual path.

Fabio Refrigeri, Regione Lazio Councillor, describes the objective of the Arte sui cammini (Art on Walks) Call: transform Lazio into an open air museum by transforming local attractions into attractive hubs.
