High school students bring robotics to university in Molise thanks to the precious collaboration of two professors: Rocco Oliveto, Associate Professor at the University of Molise, and Franco Tedeschi who teaches Electronic Technology at IIS Fermi Mattei in Isernia.

In this interview with Ilaria Bonanni [@Ilaria_FMD], Rocco Oliveto, who is specialised in software engineering, speaks about the unique collaboration underway with the high school thanks to the TirBot Contest. The school and university will joint participate in RomeCup 2020 (April 21-24).

According to Prof. Oliveto, the two key words that must guide the collaboration between high school and university students are passion and sacrifice, because the challenge is to develop a high-quality project. The team of university students will provide their programming skills, while the young students will provide their experience in constructing robots.

The Istituto Fermi Mattei in Isernia has a long tradition with robotics. In 2017, a team coordinated by Franco Tedeschi placed third at the Future Fair with Project Open Source Robotics [see news: #FutureFair Winners].
