We called it RadioIncolla but it really is a community podcast that collects voices and stories to stay together, glued together as “incolla” means in Italian, while the social distancing measures are in effect to counter the diffusion of Covid-19.
We like the idea of transmission, frequencies, the possibility of reaching anyone that is evoked by a radio. A voice that establishes contact and brings people together. The radio allows everyone to participate - including everyone participating in Project OpenSpace - as a single community giving rise to a choral story.
We can exchange quick WhatsApp audio messages and then glue all the voices together into a daily news programme that spans from the suburbs of Milan to those of Palermo.
The editing is carried out by Fiammetta Castagnini, who blends her passion for radio with her Masters in sound engineering, adding in a few special sound effects between voices... Curious? Our hashtag is #iostudioinsieme, or “we study together.”

Project "OpenSPACE – Active Participation Spaces for the Educational Community" allows selected by Con i Bambini as part of the Fund to contrast the educational poverty of minors (Adolescence Call), is a four-year project to make communities inclusive and responsible for promoting the educational and cultural growth, as well as to empower pre-adolescents and adolescents. The project is implemented in suburban areas of Bari, Milan, Palermo and Reggio Calabria.
