The “Federico II” University of Naples and the United States Consulate in Naples, a partner of the Coding Girls educational programme, have invited young female students to participate in Connecting Minds for Climate Action (Wednesday, Nov. 25).

 

The “Inspiring Talk” with Laur Hesse Fisher is part of the rich programme developed for the 34th edition of the first European Festival of Scientific Communication: Futuro remoto (Naples Science City, November 20-29).

Inspiring Talk with Laur Hesse Fisher, Programme Director for Public Engagement, Environmental Solutions Initiative, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)

Moderator: Giorgio Ventre, President, Campania NewSteel, Director, DIETI, “Federico II” University of Naples.

 

Laur Hesser Fisher is Public Participation Manager for Environmental Solutions Initiative, a prominent initiative organised by the Boston MIT to drive the scientific, political and strategic competences of various communities for climate change issues. Previously, she coordinated the Climate CoLab at the MIT Collective Intelligence Centre.

 

In her talk, Laur Hesser Fisher will explain how new digital technology can promote processes of collective intelligence to face environmental issues with participatory and innovative solutions. This will be followed by a discussion with students, researchers and entrepreneurs.
