The new school programme will be made public in the coming days, following the decision to reform the national system and bring students and teachers into closer touch with technological and social innovation. In particular, Robotics lessons will be introduced along with introductory courses on 3D Printing and Laser Cutting to prepare students for the future world and provide them with fundamental skills such as creativity, problem-solving, planning and group work. The news was published by The Telegraph on July 7, 2013.
 
 
The Fondazione Mondo Digitale has been promoting local activities in schools throughout Italy to further this approach and recognize the importance of life skills and 21st century education.
 
Amongst the various areas of interested pursued by the FMD, Educational Robotics is at the forefront. The RomeCup – Excellence in Robotics in Rome, the Network Agreement on Robotics and the participation in the Maker Faire 2013 are some examples of this objective. 
 
Innovative, collaborative, personalized and interactive didactics are fundamental for the inclusion of all citizens in the knowledge society and schools are the stepping-stones for building tomorrow’s future.
