Facebook lessons on enterprises and social networks … the Phyrtual Innovation Gym hosts a free double-formula training day for foreign entrepreneurs and start-uppers on Friday, December 4: Train the trainers e Train the learners.

Over 130 immigrants from 25 countries have registered for the free training day on the use of Facebook to promote entrepreneurial activities, manage organisations, and consolidate communities and networks.

The “Ethnic Enterprise Goes Social” Initiative is promoted by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale and Facebook in collaboration with the Embassy of Morocco, the Centro Studi e Ricerche Idos and various Provincial Centres for Adult Learning (CPIAs).

The first part of the day will be dedicated to the Train the Trainers session for schoolteachers and CPIA trainers. The second part, Train the Learners, will address foreign entrepreneurs in the Province of Rome, a category that is in constant growth (23.4% in the first semester of 2015). This includes a range of business from the long-standing service cooperatives such as Queens Servizi, founded and directed by Reyna from Perù, who now also sits on the National Council of Confcooperative, to Lenka, a successful 40-year-old entrepreneur from the Czech Republic or Craftswoman Hind, a painter and producer of jewellery.

The challenge is to allow participants to understand how Facebook, the top global social network and the one most used in Italy (50.3% of the population has a Facebook account or 77.4% of the under-30 population) is not just for chatting, but can be used as a business tool to improve visibility and competitiveness.

The two session will be held by Francesca Capobianchi, Community Engagement Market Lead at Facebook and Team Facebook.

Other speakers include, in the morning session: Mirta Michilli, Director General, Fondazione Mondo Digitale; Laura Bononcini, Head of Public Policy Italy, Facebook; Samira Bellali Councillor, Embassy of Morocco in Italy (Community Service) and Ugo Melchionda, President, Centro studi e ricerche Idos.

Indra Perera, President, CNA World will be present for the afternoon session.
