The “third halftime” of the Digital Champions continues full speed. Here is how Riccardo Luna, Innovation Ambassador for Italy, described it inhis blog:
The first halftime was a strong agreement with national Radio-TV network Rai, based on the assumption that the 24 million Italians, who do not use the Internet, have TVs. Thus, this is the main tool we can use to encourage the use of digital tools.
The second halftime was represented by the creation of a network of digital champions in every municipality. We have just reached beyond 2000 champions and another 1000 are on their way. It’s a network of incredible people, one that has never been seen before.
To do what? This is our third halftime. There are many of us, very many. It’s not that we just want to grow enormous and take care of everything; on the contrary, we exist. We are here to help whomever has interesting projects. We are here to support association and foundations that work for free on this front, just like us. Now, that we have grown, we want to help support a rich ecosystem of personalities and sensibilities, a rich, healthy and competitive ecosystem that will provide collaboration on all projects.
Now, the Fondazione Mondo Digitale has become a partner and a honourary member of the Digital Champion Association (see: Invitation to Become a Honourary Member).
