Trust Overcomes Fear

Trust Overcomes Fear

Trust Overcomes Fear

Today, Monday, May 17 at 3 pm, hundreds of students will participate in a Creative Jam to defeat “phobocracy” (a regime of fear). The students will collaborate in six digital rooms to collaboratively develop Instagram campaigns for the six therapeutic areas addressed during the year by Project Factor J: haematology, neurosciences, infectious diseases, dermatology, gastroenterology and pulmonary hypertension.

The six teams will be tutored by Fondazione Mondo Digitale coaches, operators and experts from the patient associations and Janssen employees. At the end of the creative sessions, the plenary session will resume to evaluate the ideas in real time and present awards to the winning team.

Moreover, the event will serve as an opportunity to present the results of the survey of trust in science by youth, developed with the support of the Department of Political Economy and Statistics at the University of Siena.

Factor J, promoted by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale with Janssen Italia, the pharmaceutical branch of the Johnson & Johnson Group, in collaboration with eight patient associations and the scientific support of the Rome Campus Bio-Medico University, has create a large national alliance to educate young men and women to develop a greater emotional intelligence, respect and empathy for people suffering from diseases, reaching over 10,000 young men and women in 12 months. This is an important social operation that, with the patronage of the Institute of Higher Health, has promoted a cultural and mental change amongst the new generations, driving empathy and trust in research and science.
