Under-18s and Science

Yesterday, a news team from the Emilia-Romagna Regional News Service reported on the local event organised by Factor J in Bologna [see news: Youth and Science]. Here is the report that was broadcast during the evening edition of the news service (19:30):

Students from the Bologna Liceo Fermi have become research “ambassadors” amongst their peers thanks to Project Factor J on scientific communication amongst youth. Thanks to the arrival of this project in their schools, Carlo, Giulia and have become ambassadors of science; especially on the web, they aim to project a simple message to friends and parents: knowledge and research saves lives. These are amongst the issues that the students discussed with the promoters of Factor J, an initiative launched by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale and Janssen Italia, the company that developed one of the Covid vaccines. More than four out of every five young men and women trust health authorities and the scientific community, according to a survey presented during the event. Participants included Health Councillor Donini, who also addressed the situation of the pandemic in the region.
